Re: fwupd project support

Okay, thanks for the update!
So is there a way around this (without using windows)?
Can it be done with a live system (i.e. ubuntu via usb)?

Re: fwupd project support

Are there any updates on fwupd support?
If it's already integrated I'd love to know how to use it.

Typing fwupd in the terminal gives me an "command not found" message.

I think with that many security issues with intel processors lately this is becoming an increasingly important tool.

Re: Mounting a second hard drive for videos, pictures, and music

Talking to myself here but nevertheless I wanted you guys to know how I solved this. I had to mount the second drive first and then add the bindings. So I added at the end: UUID=f4dr4487-8b23-26b1-1e89-c37672224g09 /run/media/user/Data ext4 defaults, noatime 0 2 /run/media/user/Data/home2/Bilder /hom...

Re: Mounting a second hard drive for videos, pictures, and music

I found something here: https://serverfault.com/questions/141504/mount-bind-persistence-over-reboot I edited the /etc/fstab accordingly and added: /run/media/user/Data/home2/Musik /home/user/Musik none bind 0 0 But sadly that didn't work. After reboot the music folder in my home directory is still e...

Mounting a second hard drive for videos, pictures, and music

I installed solus (LUKS, encrypted) on a 256 GiB SSD. I have a second hard drive that is 1 TiB that is mounted to /run/media/user/Data . However, I would like the pictures, music, and videos links in my file folder to be directed to that drive. So I created a video, pictures and music folder as subf...

Re: Scribus 1.5.x

You can install the App-Image of scribus 1.5.x on solus: https://sourceforge.net/projects/scribus/files/scribus-devel/1.5.4/ You may run into some trouble regarding the correct display of the menus. In that case, you might find this one useful: https://solus-project.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1...

Location services always on?

Is it possible, that the location services in Solus Budgie are always enabled even if they should be off? If I open Gnome Clocks or Gnome Maps in Budgie they're apparantly able to use my current location even though I switched them off in the privacy settings and even in the dconf editor. https://i....

They might work in GNOME. But, they don't work in Budgie. At least it didn't for me.
I for one can confirm that those shortcuts don't seem to work in Budgie.
I use the screenshot applet instead for now.

Re: Netspeed and Temp on Panel

But if the desktop is Gnome, should it be developed by Solus or Gnome? If you're using Solus' Gnome Edition I'd assume you'd be able to simply install the system-monitor plugin from the gnome extensions website ( Link ) using your firefox browser and the gnome extensions add-on. The system-monitor ...
