System Monitoring

So, way back when I found #!, I used conky to monitor my system. I have an older case, and therefore am constantly curious about my cpu temps. I know conky is available, but I wanted to know if/what other people are using to monitor their system?

Are there any conky do's/don'ts for Budgie?
