Re: HowTo: Enable Auto Screen Rotation in the Gnome Shell for 2 in 1 Convertible Laptops

iio-sensor-proxy also requires libgudev to work. This is not in the Solus repositories, so we have to compile that first. I put everything in a Builds directory for the sake of organization, but you can put it wherever you wish. It doesn't matter. Erm. ikey@solus-bdw  ~  pkg-config --cflags --lib...

HowTo: Enable Auto Screen Rotation in the Gnome Shell for 2 in 1 Convertible Laptops

I'm assuming this will make it into upstream Gnome eventually, if it hasn't already, I'm not sure. I know it didn't work on my HP Pavilion X360 with Solus 1.1 on it. Anyway, if you have a 2 in 1 convertible laptop and would like to take full advantage of it with automatic screen rotation, check out ...

Re: Support for group installs in eopkg

Tell us the packages and we'll add them. And we already have "group" installs by way of components i.e. sudo eopkg it -c system.devel Ah, thank you. That got my compiler issues solved. Should probably read through the eopkg manpage a bit more thoroughly. ;) There are only three applications I misse...

Support for group installs in eopkg

Will eopkg ever get group install support like in yum/dnf? Or if not that, maybe at least a Solus version of Debian/Ubuntu's build-essential package? Since the repos are pretty bare at this point it might be a good idea. I'm finding myself building from source a lot recently. My builds still occasio...

Re: What drew you to Solus?

I tend to stick to certain distros. Started using Linux back in 1998 in high school with Slackware. Switched to Red Hat and then later Fedora. For most of the last decade I've been alternating between Fedora and Arch Linux. Tried a few newer distros here and there since Gnome 3 came into existence. ...
