had terrible problems with them and changed back to 390, but thinking of getting a rtx 2070 shortly
so were the problems fixed?
X was loading before your nvidia drivers were present (so unable to be loaded). It has been reported as fixed by users who were suffering the symptom from the last sync.

Re: [SOLVED] Re: update fails ... ?! - old configuration ...

Because making changes with sudo eopkg doing-repo was not accepted (because of write-protection ??? - file permissions ??? ) - therefore I did it after sudo su. If you copy and paste the whole block, it will input the 2nd line as the password for sudo (which I don't imagine is your password). It wo...

Re: Solus not booting

Hi, New here and haven't really found a guide on post format if there is one here so I hope this category is the most appropriate for my issue. I've installed the nvidia drivers from hardware drivers and after the reboot it asked for solus doesn't boot. It shows a blinking '_', briefly flashes the ...

Re: Backup installed apps

Code: Select all

eopkg li -N | awk '{ print $1 }' | tr '\n' ' '
Will give you a list of installed packages. The repo effectively backs up the packages for you (so you don't have to).

Code: Select all

eopkg lr
Will show you what repos are you using.

Re: Boot Rescue CBM Error

I see, thanks for the help, I'll have to give that a go then! Any recommendations on getting that installed? I can't seem to get my dns settings via copying /etc/resolv.conf to get the install of efibootmgr going From the boot rescue help centre document https://getsol.us/articles/troubleshooting/b...

Re: Boot Rescue CBM Error

Hello, I have run into an issue very similar to the one listed in the thread here https://getsol.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=10871 Essentially on both my dual-boot desktop (after a Windows 10 update and having to replace my Mobo [yes, really unfortunate timing of the Mobo failure]) and on my dua...

Re: Solus/Windows 10 dual-boot, two different drives

Does grub work on Solus? I only know about clr-bootmanager... Solus uses clr-boot-manager to manage the bootloader. The bootloaders are Grub for legacy and systemd-boot for UEFI. UEFI allows for multiple bootloaders to be included on the ESP (you'll want it to be 500MB+ in size) that you can select...

Re: Where is monitor setup choice from startup screen?

Seems like i clicked on the wrong monitor setup and would like to change it but no longer see the monitor setup that shows up at boot in KDE. Phew, that was a long sentence! (have laptop and external monitor). There's a widget you can add to the panel called 'Display configuration' which wil...

Re: General ethernet cable question

Would switching my router cable from Cat5e to Cat8 give me a faster broadband using Solus Budgie? I have a stand alone desktop PC. I am not well up on IPv6 and was just wondering.... Honestly, unless you have 100MBit+ it likely won't do much. Maybe it makes it more consistent (which may be an impro...
