Re: Updating Solus - Software Center

My two Canadian half-cents: Some observations on new installations of the GNOME edition of the original Solus 3 ISO -- if I used the GUI Software Center to upgrade, it would crash and fail and render the system unbootable every time, especially if I don't first deactivate auto-lock, which would imm...

Re: Steam launch issue

The error appears to be that it can't write to where you steam folder is located. (or create symlinks which may reflect using a non Unix file system. ext4 is the most compatible and tested.

Re: where is Ikey Doherty ?

He had flu over 2 weeks ago, then there was break of 2 weeks up to today no life-sign of Ikey. We hope, that nothing seriously happened ? A severe flu is no fun and should be treated in hospital. Some (included me) are in worries ... Solus work requires an internet connection (with a decent data al...

Re: LSI & Steam Play

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't LSI development was postponed until the release of Solus 4 and Budgie 10.5? Couldn't there be issues with them considering LSI is pretty out of date? LSI overrides the steam runtime (plus integrates some workarounds for games). This will still be the case when using Stea...

Re: HP Printer

Hey Sunnyflunk, Would it please be possible to make an older version of hplip available (perhaps 26 or 27) ? Thanks anyway. Greetings Evert If you don't have release 29 then it's not going to work. You need to do full updates including your index. sudo eopkg up Validate your packages per https://so...

You can delete the unneeded language packs to speed up the firefox cold start.
Personally I made a script for this (use at your own risk)
If you simply deactivate them, you won't have to re-run the script after each update
