chntpw isn't in the repository, I recommend using MX (https://mxlinux.org/). I use the live ISO quite often to reset Windows passwords for clients at work. I chose MX as it has it pre-installed so no need for network etc.

The team are working on making the bug reporting process smoother, ie oauth integration or something. This reduces the barriers and gets people involved in the improvement and fixing of the OS.
