Alternatives to Onenote

Mon Apr 30, 2018 2:52 pm

This morning, i found out Onenote was not only not syncing anymore with online database but that all notebooks had disappeared!
A hick, a database glitch, a hacker... who knows!

Anyway, can't trust Microsoft anymore and Google Keep?

Hum... what do Solus users go for these days?

QOwnNotes, it is designed around nextcloud integration, but works fine with sticking the database in my dropbox folder for backups.

I highly recommend Joplin. Syncs to WebDAV, can encrypt your notes, has an Android client and speaks Markdown.

Searching for an alternative too. I found simplenote in the Solus repositories. Works well and multi-platform.

Simplenote is pretty good and always most helpful, but something like Joplin might be better (sure has lots of features for an app i've never heard of before!) with graphics support, various platforms etc. Have to find a video on it.
