SteamOS+Linux beta

Sun Aug 26, 2018 11:42 am

Hi all,

I just tested Steam beta which enables you to play games for windows with Steam, i didn't even have to install Wine . :)

In my case "The Witcher 3 "and "War Thunder" worked just fine even they are not in beta official list.

"Valve" proly writes history right now. :)

That was curiosity test only on my side :) I don't play that game anyway.

Also i think Valve needs to get in touch with some publishers have fairly old games with no Linux support on the horizon ( Dx9 games mostly ) to wrap them with Wine. Like Topware games did. No one expects a native Witcher 1 release for example cause it will be non profitable and Wine wrapper would perform very good.

Much more hassle free option for old games , of course i prefer native all the time but sometimes expecting a native release is pointless.
