I'm the first from Cuba ??? Hurray !!! Though I haven't yet installed Solus. Currently I'm using Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.3, though Solus Budgie reviews are great, I'm still hesitant due to the following:
  • Don't know if VMWare, Remmina, Megasync, uGet are on Solus. Also how do you know when there is needed a reboot after an upgrade? (I use checkrestart and needrestart on Mint and Debian)
  • How about using proxy, I have to set it on Synaptic and on my seesion like this https://stackoverflow.com/questions/863 ... 11#8636711
  • Back when I was using Ubuntu I couldn't get Java to work, which got me to switch to Mint, I cannot download Java directly due to Cuba been banish by the USA, Any chances that will bit me again?
  • Finally, the most important I only have an Internet connection at work, how can I get a mirror of Solus repository, I do debmirror for Mint, any chances of doing rsync or something alike?
