budgie taskbar

Sun Jul 03, 2016 1:37 pm

I have various icons on the taskar, but I can't see which one is active, because blue bar is bearly visible, is there any way to change the color of the indicator?
As you can see I have active vivaldi, geary, terminal and steam. Vivaldi, geary and steam are minimized, terminal is visible on the desktop.

I want change color of the indicator, how? Possible?
Best regards!

Hey, you can change the entire theming of your desktop - in Raven (the side-panel, with notifications and applets, click on the bell or speaker symbol to open it) - at the top right hand corner, there is a gear icon, which will open the settings view. Here (under the heading "Appearance") you can choose a number of different themes.

I've just played around, and it seems that the only one that effects the active / background marking (without totally changing the theme) is IconTheme to --> "highcontrast", which however also switches from a dark to a light background, so might not be so pleasing for you... There probably IS a way to change just the small item you're interested in, but I guess only manually (ie changing files or such...) - and I have no idea how you'd go about that :P .
Hope that helps a bit, regards
Sean

There isn't a way to change it right now, it's fairly hardcoded into Budgie itself, as time progresses we'll likely open up the ability to "theme" budgie and people can create their own CSS files that change Budgie's look.

Is this also supposed to be part of this issue?
It only happens when not using buit-in theme, and I cannot set the panels to light themes when it is enabled.

Additionally, I remember when it was possible to make the task panel transparent, are there any plans to return that?
