I've been distro hopping for a long time now searching for the full-time distribution that was:
- Easy to set up and navigate
- Has all the software that I use
- Has an easy software manager without adding broken PPAs and third party repos
- Doesn't require me to use terminal a lot (feels like a polished desktop OS)
I've finally landed on Solus 3 GNOME (I currently use gnome since Budgie is awesome but still has a lot of rough edges and doesn't provide all the features that I need from a DE)
I have to say that Solus has the best GNOME implementation of the major distros that feature GNOME version and everything feels very nicely integrated into OS. I've literally had NO issues when setting up the OS from start to finish and this rarely happens without needing some workarounds.
I've been following Solus projects on youtube like Budgie 11 and LSI and I really like the development team, everything they do seems for a purpose and it's like if they asked me what should be done to make Linux desktop more viable!
Keep up the good work Solus devs and hello Solus community! I'll be talking to you on forums in the future
