Solus 3 MATE Incorrectly Updated: How do I roll back?

Wed Aug 15, 2018 5:30 pm

As the title states, my monitors won't behave the way they should and I think it's because I somehow incorrectly updated the system from software center. The task bar is slightly off screen where the clock is, not a major issue but annoying still.

Another issue I have is with the displays application. Dragging around the monitors to rearrange them correctly causes... well, this: https://ibb.co/fVP3Qp

If I uninstall the graphics drivers, the "second" monitor that I'm trying to set as my main becomes a garbled mess of lines, with only the first monitor showing things properly.

The question I have to ask is how do I roll back the updates? Is there even a way or do I have to reinstall Solus again?

It's explained on the help center : https://solus-project.com/articles/pack ... llback/en/

I run into another error when I do that though. I always get the same error: "System error. Program terminated. Repo item spidermonkey not found"
At this rate I might have to do a fresh install of Solus for the third time today.

The only reason I want to resolve this is mainly because I don't know if the release of Solus 4 will have issues while Solus 3 is broken. Is it possible for you to at least tell me if Solus 4 will be broken or will it just completely replace Solus 3 and all of its files?

Of course Solus 4 will be broken... Don't you know the devs have only one objective : building something as broken as possible so nobody can use it.
