eID Belgium

Thu Mar 01, 2018 4:27 pm

Hello everyone,

I'm new on Solus and I need some help to install this software : https://eid.belgium.be/en/linux-eid-sof ... stallation.
This is the software to read my ID card here in Belgium and to have my official paper and to do my taxes declaration.

Solus is not in the list of the distributions (but the source code is available). I've never compiled myself a project and I need some help.

Does someone can help me?

Thank you

Please forgive my english, I'm native French speaker.

Hi,

I'm not at home so I did'nt have checked the source file but for source installation you have the classic:
/ Je ne suis pas chez moi donc je ne peux pas tester ou regarder les sources, mais tu peux tester le classic:

Code: Select all

./configure
make
make install

I think you are missing GCC compiler.

If I don't mistaken you have the following comand to find GCC package:

Code: Select all

eopkg sr gcc

To install

Code: Select all

sudo eopkg it [Gcc package name]
But maybe there is a better way, I'm new on Solus too

It's available in the repository. Just type "belgium" in the Software Center search field or open a terminal and type

Code: Select all

sudo eopkg it eid-mw
Note that you also have to install pcsc-lite and the driver for your card reader (ccid or acsccid depending on the model). Everything you need is in the repository.

Thanks a lot dor eid.

But I've installed the two drivers and it doesn't work (no smart card readers detected). How to know which drivers I need (it's a reader built in my Thinkpad L470).

On ubuntu it was

Code: Select all

apt-cache search "PC/SC driver"
But with solus and eopkg it will not work.

Thanks in advance.

I am feeling lazy atm, but read this post, and if it doesn't help, we'll see how we can get this sorted out.

Well, my card reader works all right now :) Only ... with the new Firefox there are problems, it's a known issue actually. With a previous version of FF or PaleMoon or Waterfox things should work. The only point is : in Debian-derived distro's I knew how to do this, here as a Solus-noob on the other hand .... :(
