Hanvon Tablet Driver for Linux (Hanvon8)

Tue May 01, 2018 7:49 pm

I collaborate with in the past, for creating this driver, I'm Marco Colonna (aka TOVOT).
A little collaboration without credits, and without a readme  but I'm not the owner of the site, and I just follow the step by step of the author for make the drivers, used Wireshark.

In other Linux distribution the installation...

Code: Select all

ls hanvon8-20150224.tgz
tar xvf hanvon8-20150224.tgz
insmod ./hanvon8.ko fine; but now I try to use the driver in Solus OS 3 Budgie desktop, and the graphics tablet not works; here a bit of log:

Code: Select all

tovot@desktop ~/.manual_drivers/hanvon8 $ lsmod | grep hanvon
hanvon8 16384 0
usbcore 221184 7 usbhid,usb_storage,hanvon8,ehci_hcd,uhci_hcd,uas,ehci_pci
The dmesg log:

lsusb command find the Tablet:

Code: Select all

tovot@desktop ~ $ lsusb
Bus 007 Device 007: ID 0b57:8030 Beijing HanwangTechnology Co., Ltd
If I use in /sys/kernel/debug/hid ls -l and connect or disconnect the Tablet, nothing change. This the result:

Code: Select all

root@desktop /sys/kernel/debug/hid # ls -l
total 0
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 0 2 mag 08.14 0003:046D:2007.0004
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 0 2 mag 08.14 0003:046D:C52B.0001
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 0 2 mag 08.14 0003:046D:C52B.0002
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 0 2 mag 08.14 0003:046D:C52B.0003
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 0 2 mag 08.14 0003:1BCF:0005.0005
If I use ls /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/kernel/drivers/ , hanvon8 is not present. Anyone can help me?
