There is the epson-inkjet-printer-escpr driver in the repository... but I don't see your model in the list.

This being said, some printers works very well in driverless mode (IPP everywhere)

Thanks for answer.

I tried with this, but .deb or .rpm I read, solus can't install.
At the moment, I get print with printer. But the scanner is imposible...., or not. I expected help from community for fix it.

And thanks for help.

On most newer printers (especially of last 5 years or so) . . . scanning can be done with the PC turned off. The scanner is controlled via the touch-screen or printer buttons. Look for something that says "scan to usb" - - so, often no drivers or programs actually needed.

Thans geoffrey for your help.

Actually, I work with other function. I can scan to google drive account, but I wan't believe of my scan can't work correctly with Solus (or other linux distribution).

I hope with your help, we get it.

Thanks in advance!

I did provide the link for you to see the supported printer list. You have to install the driver from the software center.

One option is to build the driver manually by downloading the source (src) rpm at the Epson website (see reply from Kyrios for link).

Then follow these instructions:

6.3 For other distributions
6.3.1 Uncompress the src.rpm file
$ rpm2cpio epson-inkjet-printer-escpr-1.6.23-1lsb3.2.src.rpm | cpio -id
$ tar zxvf epson-inkjet-printer-escpr-1.6.23-1lsb3.2.tar.gz

6.3.2 Configure
$ cd epson-inkjet-printer-escpr-1.6.23
$ ./bootstrap && ./configure --prefix=/usr

The location of CUPS filter and ppd files are decided automatically,
but you can specify with the follwing configure options.

* "--with-cupsfilterdir" The location of CUPS filter
ex) /usr/lib/cups/filter

* "--with-cupsppddir" The location of PPD files
ex) /usr/share/ppd

6.3.3 Make and Install
$ cd epson-inkjet-printer-escpr-1.6.23
$ make
$ sudo make install

Oh! wow! Impressive....
Many thanks friends.

Now my problem is this: sudo: ./bootstrap: command not found

I installed system.devel for specials tools, but not work. Maybe need another package?
I'm very happy for discover solutions. And for find people with helps

Version 1.6.23 is the exact same version as the one available in the repository... Just saying...

Sorry kyrios, you hare the reason. I look, but don't view, your instructions is very clear. And easy.....
Finally the printer work, but the scanner is other history. The Usushi program, not detected the scanner, maybe need some adjust or configuration file. I think with yours helps, can work with this.
Thanks for the job, really the people here are very friendly.
And thanks in advance.
