Code: Select all

sudo nano /etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf
Edit the path to the background you want, the default is:
background=/usr/share/backgrounds/solus/IMG_0608-solus.JPG

Wonder if I can't patch gnome-control-center to do this when lightdm is running ?

In my Debian install I use "Lightdm-gtk-greeter-settings" to tweak the greeter. Works a charm... Lots of stuff you can change to your liking... 8-)
Be a nice addition to Solus.

Would help if you pasted the errors, we can't diagnose without them.

Code: Select all

sudo nano /etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf
Edit the path to the background you want, the default is:
background=/usr/share/backgrounds/solus/IMG_0608-solus.JPG
sunnyflunk, that path no longer exists.
So the question remains: How to change login screen image?

Update: I found the thread in the forum which suggested changing the image file name in /usr/share/background/solus/ accordingly.
So I renamed IMG_0604-solus.JPG (the default flowering branch pic) and then copied & renamed Path.jpg accordingly.

See https://dev.solus-project.com/T3486#61263 for the correct method
