Meet the Team
The Solus project is made up of several teams that are focused on more specific aspects of running and delivering a Linux distribution. Because of our smaller size, everyone is a part of multiple teams.
Admin Team
These members support and enable everyone else to be able to do what needs to be done. This includes managing our finances, and the accounts and services we need to run a distribution. They are also responsible for the high level decisions that chart the overall course of the project.
Solus Staff
This team has push access to all Solus repositories, and makes general decisions about the project.
Packaging Team
This team handles the building and management of packages in the Solus repository. They handle package inclusion requests, package deprecations, and triage update requests and package issues. On top of all that, they generally maintain packages in the repository. Some team members help maintain one or more of our included desktop environments to ensure they remain up-to-date, and integrate well.
Development Team
These members write and maintain software for Solus, such as eopkg, ypkg, and solbuild. This also includes developing our website and Help Center.
Infrastructure Team
This team is responsible for ensuring that the Solus infrastructure and services are kept up to date and running smoothly.
Community & Moderation Team
This team is responsible for interacting with the community. That means writing and maintaining documentation on our Help Center, and writing blog posts and forum news posts. They also keep our community safe and friendly by moderating our online spaces like our forum, Matrix space, and subreddit.
